Well Worth The Read
I can really relate to this list. The 20 Nerd Commandments. Rule 20 ruined my life though. I’ve had to go cold turkey on collecting, of everything, except for Star Wars Books (I’m The Jedi Librarian, Bitches!). Too much stuff I “needed”, and not nearly enough money.
In The Year Two Thousand… (and ten)
Here is what people in 1972 (the year I was born) though 2010 (the year I am in) might be like – http://ping.fm/i1l53
Nom Nom Nom
Too much media to consume, not enough time. I’m falling way behind in my reading, watching, playing and listening pursuits. Ugh.
Holy Texts As A Movie Franchise
I saw this posted online today. Made me laugh…
Think of it like a movie series. The Torah is the first one, and the New Testament is the sequel. Then the Qu’ran comes out, and it retcons the last one like it never happened. There’s still Jesus, but he’s not the main character anymore, and the messiah hasn’t show up yet.
Jews like the first movie, but ignored the sequels, Christians think you need to watch the first two, but the third movie “doesn’t count”, Muslims think the third one was the best, and Mormons liked the second one so much they started writing fanfiction that doesn’t fit with ANY of the series canon.
I know I dont have enough time for this, but…

Generation X
Douglas Coupland is coming out with a “sequel” titled GENERATION A – I hope it’s better then the JPOD was. And yes, reading Douglas Coupland does make me feel old. But once, his work made me feel relevant.
In need of a good read
Mark Leyner, will you please write another novel? Thank you.
