Grafton, Vermont
Wow, I’ve really ignored this part of my online empire for a while. Time to make up for that. Sadly, it’s with sad news…
We moved around a bit when I was a kid, but I spent 3 years in Grafton, Vermont. When looking back at my childhood, those three years have always been my favorite. Yesterday, Hurricane Irene ripped through Vermont, and Grafton was hard it. These videos, by Bryce LeVan Cushing, show some of the damage. It appears that tow of the roads that lead into town (of which there are only four), have been washed away. Homes I used to ride my bike past on the way to school are gone. One of the towns historic covered bridges were swept downstream and destroyed.
Though I haven’t been back to Vermont in about 7 years, these videos really depressed me. So, on that note, I’m going to share them all with you now.

Thanks for sharing your videos. My dad and stepmom live in Grafton and I live outside Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Usually it is our area that braces for hurricanes, so the devastation upon Grafton is so shocking. Thankfully my family and their home are safe. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire community of Grafton.
